Now I know what you are thinking, so, what happened to the crack in the windshield? Well, we did have to pay for the windshield, but it turned out that replacement of the windshield was cheaper than what it would have cost to insure it. She didn’t find any other bumps and bruises to the van (though we know of some, like a cracked plate, and a smallish dent), and we got out of there much cheaper than anticipated. We breathed a collective sigh of relief and walked back to our motel for our last night in New Zealand
