Malaysia

-McDonalds
-Patronas Towers
-Alice in Wonderland
-Air Conditioning

After sleeping a bit to recover from the mad dash across the border, we decided the rest of the day was going to be America Day. So we had lunch at Kenny Rodger’s Chicken Restaurant then walked down the lovely clean streets with huge sky scrapers to one of Kuala Lumpur’s famous (and air conditioned) malls. We watched Alice and Wonderland in 3D, had some Auntie Anne’s pretzels, and finished up with some KFC. Funny how America day had so much eating to it… =o). It was a great day. The next day we used for trip planning and we got a lot done. We also squeezed in some Ninja Assassin which was also pretty important.
Before we left, we got in 1 touristy thing in—we went up to the Petronas Twin Towers to get a view from the city from its glass bridge. Entrance was free, but they only allow so many people up there in a day. So we got there almost 2 hours early and queued up like good little tourists. The view was really nice. It’s something you’ve gotta do in Kuala Lumpur, but the wait really isn’t worth it. But ya gotta do it! After that, we made a quick stop to Petalling Street (very much like Khao San Rd in Bangkok), and went to the train station to head down to Singapore. It was a brief stay, but exactly what we wanted.
